SCOPE OF WORKS

This project involved specialist internal works within an occupied commercial building at 2 Capital Quarter, Tyndall Street, Cardiff. The scope focused on improving fire compartmentation measures within the structure while ensuring minimal disruption to the building’s daily operations.

Due to the building remaining fully operational throughout the project, all major works were carefully programmed and completed during weekends and out-of-hours periods.

The works included:

• Removal of internal sections of the external main building walls to expose the cavity zones between each floor level

• Installation of cavity barriers at each floor level within the substructure to improve compartmentation and fire stopping performance

• Reinstatement of all internal partition walls following completion of the cavity barrier installation

• Internal decoration works to restore affected areas
 

Joinery works to ensure all finishes were returned to a high standard
