SCOPE OF WORKS
The project involved the full refurbishment and conversion of four outdated, traditional-style toilet blocks into modern, high-quality facilities. Works included the manufacture and installation of full-height bespoke cubicle systems and Integrated Plumbing Systems (IPS) utilising BioCarbon Laminates. The scope also covered complete upgrades to lighting, ventilation, flooring, and ceiling finishes. All elements were carefully coordinated to ensure seamless integration between cubicles, IPS, and building services, delivering a cohesive and contemporary finish throughout the facilities.
All works were delivered in strict accordance with health and safety regulations and site-specific risk assessments. The installation process was carefully planned and sequenced to minimise disruption and maintain a safe working environment at all times. Infection control was a key consideration, with the use of BioCarbon Laminates selected for their hygienic and durable properties. Clean working practices, controlled access, and effective ventilation management were implemented throughout the project to ensure a safe environment for both operatives and building users.
The completed works successfully transformed the toilet blocks into modern, functional, and visually appealing facilities. The project demonstrates strong capability in managing full refurbishment works within a live, fully functioning and operating school environment, with secure access controls and carefully co-ordinated works aligned to the school’s operating hours to ensure the safety of pupils, staff, and visitors at all times.
We have deigned and plan to include a new en-suite bathroom within a bedroom as part of the wider refurbishment. This addition was designed to enhance the learning environment and support the development of key skills. With the available space, scope, and in-house expertise, we were able to deliver this improvement as a valuable enhancement to the overall project.
